Hi, I’m Courtney!
I’m a writer, editor, and Performer based in nYC.
What began as a secret love of poetry on YouTube became a life built around stories that bring people together — through a social post, in a short film, on a podcast, and beyond.
In 2018, I received a BA in English (Creative Writing) and a minor in Business from Texas A&M University. Since then, I’ve:
Taught ESL for refugees in San Antonio
Written countless brand manifestos, which have made 10+ clients happy-cry
Created everything from radio ads to billboards to holiday cards for Humana
Performed in improv comedy shows, a full-length play, and an adult ballet recital
Helped dozens of students apply for college confidently
Successfully reversed my early-onset carpal tunnel
Currently, I’m working at NYU Steinhardt. I’m reading The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. I’m listening to 5-4, Scriptnotes, and Las Culturistas. I’m watching Only Murders in the Building, Trixie Motel, and all of the things my husband makes.
